Lalique Exposition
Wingen-sur-Moder, France
For the occasion of the 85th anniversary of the glassworks of Wingen-sur-Moder, and with the prospect of the Lalique Museum of the Imaginary, the Region of the Lower Rhine organised an exposition in the castle of Lichtenberg.
The exposition brings together about a hundred artworks: works on loan from Maison Lalique, various museums and private collections are added to works already belonging to the museum’s trust (especially those acquired by the Association of Friends of the Lalique Museum of the Imaginary, supported by many patrons).
Through a modern presentation of the artworks, the exposition not only reveals the creative genius of René Lalique but also reminds us of the world in which he evolved, the main characters that influenced his life, and his dream to make the beautiful accessible.
