Laureate “Gare de Villeurbanne”

28 July 2011

The (re)development of a park near the old station of Villeurbanne, along the way tramway, has been won by landscape architects Itinéraire Bis.

The city of Villeurbanne focusses the development on ecology and the heritage. The designers combine the rich railroad history of the site to draw visitors to the park with a great variety of plants that one can imagine to have grown in the grassy plaines that existed here before the urbanization.

The works are scheduled for the spring and summer of 2012.
