Atelier Barani laureate Institut de France

12 September 2011

Marc Barani has been designated laureate for the design of a new auditorium and its supports at Institut de France (national institute for science and arts).

The prestigious 400-seat auditorium will be nested in a courtyard space between several important heritage buildings with Unesco classification. A clever combination of modern technology and classic design will assure that the new auditorium becomes the fitting stage for the many activities of the Institute and the Academies.

dUCKS contributed to the concept design of the space, and will design all scenography (stage systems, stage lighting and AV/media systems) for the project.

The building will open in 2015.
