Opening Curve

10 November 2008

Curve opened with a spectacular event called Lift-off. All aspects of Lift-off were designed to make full use of the architectural inside-out concept of the theater and the state-of-the art technical facilities.

The show, developed by the theater with participation of many local groups, started with street-like performances in the foyer that envelops the two theaters.

The performance went along a short trail through the building, with a first presentation in the center of the 350-seat studio theater. This was followed by several acts in which the theater slowly opened one door after the other, to finally open up to the central stage house, and even beyond to the 750-seat auditorium, with a ballet of lighting.

The main performance was a breathtaking circus act above the audience that had meanwhile moved to the main stage. The magnificent choreography, performed with overwhelming intensity and grace by the members of the No Fit State Circus was a true opening present for Curve.
