Opening “Le Prisme”

2 December 2007

Aurillac has a new multipurpose hall named “Le Prisme.” The program has an emphasize on amplified music, conventions, and trade shows.

The room design is based on a flat floor, with movable rakes that allow frontal, bi-frontal or arena style seating. The hall has a capacity of 1 680 seats or a mix of seating and standing room for up to 3 500.

Our consulting role in the project focused on the design concepts of the performance space, the study of circulation for artists, audience and materials, the study of sightlines, and general theater planning. We also designed all theater machinery, as well as the stage lighting and audiovisual systems and infrastructure.

Owner/client: Urban community of the Aurillac bassin
Architects: Brisac Gonzalez Architects
Acoustician: Xu Acoustique
Scenographer: dUCKS scéno
Project opening: 2 December 2007
