Laureate Jazz in Marciac

20 December 2007

The achitectural competition for a new theater in Marciac, in the south-west of France, has been awarded to King Kong architects in Bordeaux. The theater will be one of the main stages of the renowned international festival Jazz in Marciac.

The competition design provides a frontal room with 500 seats that can be transformed with relatively simple means into a more intimate 250-seat space, with seats on three or four sides of the ensemble.

The project is scheduled to be in design for two years, with an autumn leaves opening in 2010
