dUCKS scéno has, over the past 20 years, emerged as one of the few creative resources for the design of scenography for theaters, concert halls, museums and exhibitions, and special venues. The projects dUCKS scéno that is involved in are often about the architectural engagement with, and exploration of, theater, music, dance, exhibition and visual arts in their widest definitions.

Functioning as a cooperative, with a full-time staff of twenty-five, coming from different horizons, dUCKS scéno works in collaboration with architects and other design team members as consultants for scenographic design and as engineering specialists for all theater equipment.

The creative team has a strong interest in architecture and has highly developed technical and engineering skills, covering all domains of scenography and theater technology, as well as audiovisual and lighting design. dUCKS scéno has been invited to collaborate with some of the most visible contemporary architects in Europe, Asia and the US, as well as with young and more discrete talents. Its portfolio balances new buildings and renovations, showing sensitivity for historic fabric as well as for contemporary architectural languages.

The competences of dUCKS scéno can be found in all design stages. Program analysis and concept development interweave with the architectural design in the early part of the project, followed by technical and engineering studies of circulation, seating, sightlines, stage machinery, displays and presentations, and lighting and audiovisual systems at subsequent design stages.
